Our farm philosophie is based on 2 pillars: sustainability and hospitality
Our organic farm has been owned by the Gratz family since 1856.
We, Michael and Monika, see it as our task to manage the farm in such a way that many more generations will benefit from it.
In agriculture, we attach great importance to a healthy circular economy. We not only mow our fields in the valley, but also our mountain meadows below the Greibühel and our meadows on the alpine pasture in the Dorfertal. In addition to the alpine pasture in the Dorfertal, where our cows are in summer, we also manage our high alpine pasture below the Blauspitz.
We heat our entire farm exclusively with our wood chip heating system, which we installed in 2019. During the renovation of the guest area in 2015, we also carried out a thermal renovation with full thermal insulation. In 2024, we expanded our energy supply with a 20kW photovoltaic system. In the course of this, an e-charging station was built for our guests directly at the guest parking lot.
When renovating the guest area in 2015, we placed particular emphasis on ensuring that the furniture was made by local carpenters and that natural materials were used wherever possible.
We have been providing our guests with a digital version of the guest folder for several years now.
At our farmhouse breakfast, you will mainly find home-made and regional delicacies at the buffet.
It is also very important to us that no food ends up in the bin. That's why we offer our guests the opportunity to feed leftover food to our animals themselves. Our pigs, cats, rabbits and chickens are happy when they also get something.
